Knowledge and packs
Knowledge is authored: text entries and documents you hand an AI that it should always know. It keeps its own copy and uses the relevant parts when they help - a character's backstory and world, or your product details, policies, and procedures.
Giving an AI knowledge
Open the AI's Knowledge in its editor, or the Remembers tab of its Memory page.
- Text - add entries directly; each is embedded for retrieval so the AI draws on it when it fits.
- Documents - drop files or whole folders and they go into your documents, read on your device and granted to this AI. Each gets a card and, for your own writing, a Mine tag; the AI is handed the cards and the matching passages with every question and says which document it drew on. The originals can be moved or deleted afterwards.
Knowledge is what makes a character a character - and knowledge collections travel as packs.
Packs
A character pack is one file that carries a whole character: personality, description, portrait, and knowledge. Packs can be signed with the maker's Flowsta identity, so anyone importing one can verify who made it and that it hasn't been altered.
Importing a character
Your AIs → Import AI, then pick a pack file. Before anything is created you see who's arriving - portrait, personality, knowledge count - and the signature verdict:

Imported characters start on "Auto - Offline Only"; change their model anytime. A pack never contains conversations or anyone's personal memories - importing is always a fresh start with that character.

Exporting yours
Edit any AI → Export. The dialog is two choices, both signed with your Flowsta identity through your Vault (the Vault's status sits under them):
- Share publicly - files the pack for review under your Flowsta name; once listed, everyone's Characters page shows it. The AI's edit form then shows where the share got to - checking, waiting for a look, listed, or not added with the note left for you. See Sharing add-ons.
- Export to file - a signed pack file you hand to someone yourself. Anyone importing sees it verified as yours.
The pack carries the character and their knowledge - never your conversations, never memories about you, and not the model choice (the importer's hardware decides that).
How signing works
The pack's content - every field, portrait included - is hashed, and the hash is signed by your Flowsta identity in your Vault. On import the app recomputes the hash and verifies the signature, so a signed pack with a swapped portrait or an edited knowledge entry shows as tampered and is blocked. The face is part of the identity, cryptographically.
