Each AI's memory

Every AI has one memory of its own, kept separate from your others. It holds two kinds of entries:

• Given by you - backstory, world, product details, policies. This is the part you author, and you can export it as a shareable pack; see Knowledge and packs. Documents are different: they live in your documents, yours rather than any one AI's, and each AI is granted the ones it may draw on.
• Learned with you - moments from your conversations that this AI recalls when they matter, each pointing at the exchange it came from. The page shows the thirty most recent and says how many it holds.

What every AI knows about you is not here: that lives on Your Memory, shared by all of them, and so do your rules - the page lists them under Rules <AI> follows so you can see what this AI is reminded of.

The faces

Every memory page opens with a row of faces: You first, then each AI, with a count of what it keeps for itself. Pick a face to switch to that memory in place.

The Memory page

Open any AI's Memory page and you get its whole world, in tabs:

• Conversations - every conversation with that AI, each with its verification hash; open one to read the full transcript with its provenance, continue it, rename it, export it, or delete it. The filter box finds words inside every conversation of that AI, your own and imported, not only titles: the best match per conversation with the matching stretch marked, opening on the message it found. The first search reads the conversations for search once (a progress line says how far, and it can be stopped); every message after that joins as it is recorded, and the words are kept in an encrypted cache on this computer, never in the clear. Narrow to the ones made in the app, through the API, or imported, and select many at once: Select all takes what is shown, and one confirmation deletes the selection one conversation after another. A conversation from another of your devices that has not fully arrived yet says so - see Your other devices.
• Projects - the project memory your AIs share.
• Remembers - this AI's one memory: what you have given it, the rules it follows, the documents it may draw on, and what it has learned with you, with a link to Your Memory for what every AI knows about you.

Right after launch, your records take a moment to warm up - every tab says so honestly while it waits, rather than showing an empty list. A turn you take while they are still starting is recorded once they are, and a slow read never empties the conversations list: the saved list stays until the records answer.

Remembering on purpose

The Remember button under any reply saves it; highlight any text to remember just that part. Settings › Memory chooses where a remembered reply goes, That AI only or All your AIs, and in a project the button asks: Remember for this project or Remember for <AI>. Remembering happens in the background and never holds up the conversation; a remembered reply longer than a few paragraphs is kept as a document instead. The button is a toggle - click it again to forget.

When the AI remembers something itself while working, the step in the rail says whose memory it went into: "Remembered for Teresa only", "for the project", or "for all your AIs".

Editing and forgetting

Every entry can be edited or deleted. Deleting an AI's conversations removes them from your records and, through them, from every device you own; the deletion is signed into the record, so a restore keeps it deleted. Forgetting what an AI learned cannot be undone, and says so.
